My first memory of plant care was my dad teaching me how to repot my first ever plant (Kali the cactus) right outside my dorm room in college. Little did I know that moment of father-daughter bonding would lead to a lifelong obsession with plants.

That’s how Rich Auntie Botanist was founded.

I decided to merge my chosen career in design with my passion for craftsmanship and enthusiasm for making things by hand.

As a city-dweller, I’m aware of the lack of green spaces available to us. But what saddens me even more is the general lack of connectivity with nature. Just because you live in an apartment or work in an office or choose to live in a city, doesn’t mean you should be denied the importance and magic of plant life.

And believe me, plants are magic.
